I take your privacy seriously. This page explains what personal information I collect when you enquire about or book lessons, how I use it, and your rights over it.
When you fill in an enquiry form or book a free session, I collect your name, email address, and phone number. If you become a student, I also retain records relating to scheduling, payment, and lesson history, and, where you opt in, recordings of lessons and AI-generated lesson summaries.
I use your information to respond to enquiries, arrange and deliver lessons, provide WhatsApp support between lessons, and share lesson recordings and summaries with you directly. I don’t use your information for marketing beyond communication directly related to your lessons, and I don’t sell or rent your information to third parties.
Lessons are conducted over Zoom, which processes video and audio in line with its own privacy policy. Where I generate a written summary of a lesson using an AI transcription tool, the lesson audio is processed by that third-party service solely to produce your summary, and is not used to train any model or shared beyond what’s needed to deliver the summary to you.
If you enquire via a Facebook or Instagram lead form, Meta also processes your information subject to its own Data Policy, including for ad form auto-fill. I only use the details you submit to follow up about your free piano session.
I keep enquiry details for 12 months if you don’t go on to book a session, and student records for the duration of lessons plus a reasonable period afterward for administrative and tax purposes.
